Lawson Sr. is a family man and a football enthusiast who enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. After serving in the Marine Corps for six years as an MP and K9 handler, he entered the automotive industry. As the founder and CEO of Proactive Dealer Solutions, one of the largest training and consulting companies in the industry, he has worked with over 1600 franchise dealers throughout North America. His experience as a business owner has taught him some valuable lessons, such as offering a quality product at a fair price, meeting, and exceeding client expectations, and resolving problems as soon as possible.

Lawson Sr. and his oldest son decided to go into business together and offer their community a fair price for a quality job. Their philosophy is simple: be fair, be reasonable, and do what you tell people you’re going to do. They chose Color World Painting because it is a national organization with an impeccable reputation that deals with honesty and integrity, values that Lawson Sr. and his son share.

I’m Lawson Owen Jr, the proud co-owner and managing partner of Color World Painting here in Charleston. I graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 2018 and from there I started my career working in analytics for Electrolux Home Appliance in Charlotte, NC. In 2021, transitioned to managing online pricing for Lowes Home Improvement. My fiancé and I have been visiting Charleston for almost 10 years and enjoyed everything Charleston has to offer. Finally, in 2023, we had the opportunity to move to Mount Pleasant. We are excited to be here full time, to be involved and become part of the community. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outside with our dog, watching and playing sports (mainly soccer), and indulging in all types of food and drinks
